Sokkia's SHC2500 features a 624MHz processor with Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system, Bluetooth wireless technology and WiFi for high-performance and reliability on the jobsite. A 5.17 megapixel camera functions as bar code reader and a highly advanced camera to associate photos with SSF points as Photo Notes.

The SHC2500 is rated at IP-67, which means it can be submersed in water. Two NiMH batteries come standard and can perform for up to 50 hours without recharging. Also standard:  256MB RAM, 2GB ROM, 55 key alphanumeric keyboard with joystick, and an easily accessible USB drive.
